
UPCOMING GENERAL MEETINGS:
General Meetings are held at 8pm on the 4th Wednesday of the month (unless noted below) at Winchester Gardens, special events such as the Open House or Friendraiser are held at local venues. Our general meetings feature open discussions or speakers on topics relating to parenting, work and everything that is the “more” in Mothers & More. Winchester Gardens is located at 333 Elmwood Avenue, Maplewood.
Mothers & More encourages our members to take time out for themselves to attend meetings. However, when a separation from a child is not possible, non-mobile infants are welcome to accompany mothers to chapter meetings. We are unable to offer babysitting or sponsor a co-op due to National Organization policy and liability issues. Guests are welcome to attend up to two general meetings (or other events) before being required to join to continue participating in chapter activities.

Evening Activities: (Moms Only)
GENERAL MEETINGS

There are open discussions or speakers on topics relating to parenting issues, personal issues, professional issues, social programs in the area, advocacy issues, household ideas and everything that is the “more” in Mothers & More.
CARE NETWORK
The Care Network is designed to provide support to our local members in time of need. Chapter members volunteer to provide a meal or run errands after a baby is born, during a family crisis or similar circumstances.
MOM’S NIGHT OUT
This group meets monthly in the evenings for a much deserved break from children and significant others. Chapter members get together to enjoy dining out, movies, pottery, and other fun activities.
POP-FICTION BOOK CLUB
Our reading group devours tasty modern fiction and after-dinner treats.
GOURMET GALS
Whether you are a gourmet cook or a complete kitchen klutz... come hang out, sample new recipes and savor good company. Moms meet monthly at a member’s home and bring a dish (or bottle) to share that compliments the theme of the month.
MOMS WITHOUT MOMS
Connect with other members in person and by an email group who share the complex and difficult experience of being motherless mothers.
KNITTING CIRCLE
Join other creative women of all skill levels for an evening of knitting and conversation. All needle-workers are welcome.
SCRAPBOOKING
Share ideas, tips and time with other mothers who enjoy the craft of scrapbooking.
MOMS IN THE WORKFORCE
The group meets monthly is open to all members participating in any form of work or even those simply considering re-entering the workforce. Members discuss solutions to the many challenges of balancing a career with motherhood via an email group, and meetings.
MOTHER OWNED BUSINESS GROUP
Whether you own your own business, or want explore starting up something you love for profit (if only a little pocket money) this group is for you. MOB provides networking opportunities, an agenda to promote the success of small business and maintains a member owned business directory.
WOMEN RAISING MEN
Boys are different than girls; connect with other mothers in person and by eloop who are parenting children of the opposite gender.
BREASTFEEDING GROUP
Support and information for mothers who are or plan to breastfeed their children.
MAMAS2ONE
In the ‘burbs there seems to be a “two child minimum.” Connect with other members in person and by eloop whom either by choice or circumstance are raising their child as a “only.”
SEASONED MOMS
This group connects moms whose kids are a bit older; and whose families are navigating issues such as school, peer pressure, camp, and more.
40’s+ MOMS
This group of moms are in their 40s with small children. Meet with other 40+ moms to share how having children later in life offers different joys, challenges and issues.
WEIGHT LOSS MOMS
A subgroup for moms looking to receive and give support in their weight loss process via an eloop in which to share questions, comments, concerns, goals & victories.
TWINS GROUP
Connect with other moms in person and by eloop who share your joys and challenges of parenting twins and other multiples.
Children/Family Activities:
MOMS & TOTS
There are so many activities to do with kids in our surrounding area! Outings include playing in parks, visiting museums, and traveling to special events. Activities are scheduled once a month and are geared towards toddlers and preschoolers, although all are welcome.
LUNCHING LADIES
You don't have to eat lunch alone! All little ones welcome (who aren't in school of course!) Feel free to come on over. The host supplies drinks and paper goods - All guests are asked to bring a dish since it is lunch after all! It can be store bought, home made, for kiddies, for adults...the point is that the moms (and dads you are welcome too!) can get together and chat!
NANA’S PLAYGROUP
You and your children interact with the residents of Winchester Gardens, a Maplewood retirement community, through activities and simple crafts.
NEW MOM’S GET TOGETHER
Got a new little one at home? This group is a great way to connect with other moms and their tiny tots.
1’s & 2’s PLAYGROUP
Join the crawlers and the walkers weekly for a toddling good time.
OPEN PLAYDATE @ THE PARK
Open playdate is for moms and kids of all ages and is a great way to get to know members and have your kids make new friends. Meets weekly in warm weather, at area playgrounds.
PLAYGROUPS
As a member, you and your child are eligible to join a regular, age-appropriate playgroup. Groups usually meet weekly, rotating in members’ homes.
HOOT OWLS (Husbands Out Of Town Or Working Late)
A pizza dinner playgroup for all ages. For moms who often find themselves eating dinner alone with their kids, this is an opportunity to get together and socialize while the kids entertain each other. The group meets monthly, from 5:00 to 7:00pm.
STROLLER ROLLERS
Get some air and exercise with other members every week. Walk with strollers through the woodland on the pedestrian loop around South Mountain Reservation. (45mins, no hills and a medium pace). Cancelled for rain and snow.
