We welcome your interest in the South Orange\Maplewood Chapter of Mothers & More. Mothers & More is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of mothers through support, education and advocacy. We address mothers' needs as individuals and members of society, and promote the value of all the work mothers do.
We are women who have left the workforce to care for their children, women who are working from home or part-time while caring for their children, women who are working full-time and sharing caregiving responsibilities, and women who have not entered the workforce. Mothering is valuable, respectable work, and we respect women's ambitions for their careers and their families.
Our group includes moms of all ages and stages. Whether you are a new mother, new to this area or just new to the group, belonging to Mothers & More is a great way to make friends and to learn about the diverse and active communities of South Orange, Maplewood, and surrounding towns. We are the largest chapter in the nation and offer a wide variety of activities to serve our 350+ members needs and interests.
Our chapter also offers close to 30 committees and activities, including playgroups, reading groups, and daytime children’s activities. There are many opportunities to volunteer, put your talents to work, keep your resume current and contribute to our chapter.
On the 4th Wednesday of each month, we hold general meetings at Winchester Gardens, 333 Elmwood Ave, Maplewood at 8pm. We have both open discussions and guest speakers on topics such as health, education, finances, personal growth, parenting and careers. Please click "Activities/Upcoming Meetings" on the menu to the left for this month's meeting topic.
You are welcome to attend two "mom only" events (general meeting, moms' night out, pop fiction book club, etc.) before joining our chapter, although you must be a paid member before visiting or joining any playgroup.
Our annual dues of $45 are paid directly to the Mothers & More National organization. To join please click "Join Us" on the menu to the left.
After joining, we will send you an email which includes a list of board members and activity leaders, and the user ID and password to access the members only section of our local chapter’s website, where you can find additional information that will help you get started: the current calendar, activity leader and board member information, and other helpful documents.

Special Event: Annual Spring Open House

The theme of this year's Open House is: "Connecting Mothers' Voices."
Please come to the Open House and bring a friend to learn more about the Maplewood/South Orange chapter of Mothers & More. Meet our board members and activity leaders; ask questions and sign up for activities that meet your needs and interests.
This event is free and open to all mothers regardless of membership. Food, drink, free memberships and great door prizes will all be part of the fun. It's a wonderful evening and it only happens once a year. Hope to see you May 21st!
